The American actor Leonardo DiCaprio gave a different twist to the ice bucket challenge (#IceBucketChallenge) alongside natives of Alberta, Canada, who have been affected by oil extraction activities.
DiCaprio challenged the Prime Minister of Canada Stephen Harper, who did not accept it, claiming that he had already done it and that he already made a donation to the ALS Association. “I’m in Alberta to inform me about the Canadian tar sands and its impact on climate, land, water and health of indigenous communities living here,” said the actor in a video that circulates through social networks.
