Leopoldo Lopez trial completed its first day
The first day of the trial against opposition leader and head of People’s Will party (VP) Leopoldo López, as well as against several students, ended yesterday at 20.00 hours (Venezuela).
Lopez is accused of planning the violence events registered after the march of February,12, this year against the government of Nicolas Maduro, President of Venezuela.
On this day, Lopez’s lawyers were able to argue his defense for about an hour and have released their view about the allegations against him and the situation of the country in general.
Likewise, the defense claimed that the trial against the politician is in a “defenseless” situation because of the court’s refusal to accept the evidence in defense of its client.
The Lopez’s trial will continue on August 6, said the Popular Will party.
