Libya Elects New Interim Prime Minister

Today Libya’s Transitional National Council (NTC) elected Abdurrahim El-Keib as the country’s new transitional Prime Minister to replace Mahmoud Jibril.
El-Keib, a former professor at university of Tripoli, earned 26 votes out of 51, this will appoint a new cabinet during the next days. The new government looks to administrate Libya in the upcoming months and pave its way to future general elections.
Jalal el-Gallal, a spokesman of NTC, added that the new administration wanted to form a new interim government after the fall of the dictator Muammar Gadhafi. (AV)
