London is Now Preparing for the Paralympics

Paralimpic Games
This August 29th will begin at the Paralympic Games in the British city of London, which will feature more than 4,200 athletes belonging to 164 countries.
Thus, the Paralympic Games this year will mark a new record of athletes and countries, involving more than 4,000 athletes and 147 nations who were in Beijing 2008, then the most numerous.
The competitions will be held in the same venues and facilities that the Olympic Games. The official Games program includes 20 sports in 11 days of competition, where 503 gold medals fight between athletes with visual impairment (blind and sighted), physical, cerebral palsy and intellectual disabilities. Also, about 1,250 are planned doping controls.
