Luis “Chucho” was Shot Down in Quicentro Mall

Soccer player of Liga Deportiva Universtitaria de Quito, Luis “Chucho” Bolaños, was shot down this morning while walking in Quicentro Shopping Center’s parking lot in Quito, Ecuador.

The soccer player was taken to hospital Metropolitano were his condition was stabilized. Bolaños was wounded in the arm and shoulder; doctors informed that it does not interfere with its function. It is believed that assassins made the attack; however, other sources inform that it was a theft attempt, since Bolaños went to an ATM machine.

Bolaños was in his vehicle with his wife, who wasn’t injured. Police officers are investigating the case. The officers have apprehended one of the suspects.
