Maduro begins a process to get Capriles out of Miranda
The Partido Socialista Unido de Venezuela (PSUV), in an effort to find support for an initiative to declare the “total lack” of the opposition leader Henrique Capriles as governor of the Miranda state, it has started to collect signatures to support such civic order, to later submit the results before the Supreme Court of Justice, judicial body that is currently being criticized for being possibly related to the regime.
However, Capriles said he will defend his government with all his might. “If a small group aims to take the Governance of Miranda using a way other than voting, we will have to defend ourselves for a coup,” said Capriles.
Capriles, who does not recognize the victory of Maduro’s election on last April 14, and who, according to new national polls, would become President in the event of new elections, said that they could only declare his “total lack” of governance if he dies. “They want to declare my absolute failure as governor, but for that I have to die,” said Capriles.
