Main Assembly prioritizes the Communications Law

After taking office as the new President of the Main Assembly, Gabriela Rivadeneira, confirmed yesterday that during the first 100 days the remaining texts from the previous administration will be approved. Among these is the Communication Act.
Rivadeneira said she already reviewed the text and made some observations on the latest report by the rapporteur of the document, Mauro Andino, Alianza Pais. Among them is the possible inclusion of media lynching, Superintendent of Communication and a new conformation for the Regulatory Council.
While the Occasional Communication Commission, added that it will only be conformed if there is a partial presidential veto that the Parliament approves. However, it was previously indicated that Andino should be ratified as leader of the project, to analyze any changes. The second debate is the Cultural Act, which would be settled in a new occasional table.
In this way the legislative agenda begins to take shape. While Alianza Pais (AP) and its allies could capture all the votes of the Legislative Administration Council (CAL).
