Marcela Aguiñaga will be the new leader in Guayas

The current Vice President of the National Assembly, Marcela Aguiñaga, will replace Maria de los Ángeles Duarte in the provincial directorate of Guayas. Her greatest support in the polls was by militants of the Alianza PAIS party (AP).

The supporters of AP exercised their vote in the Alberto Spencer Stadium, where there were 32 polling stations. Aguiñaga, who was the only candidate, was accompanied by cantonal and district authorities of the province.

During her intervention, she unveiled her work plan and urged the people of Guayaquil to defend democracy.
