Marine Le Pen Announced her Blank Vote for the Runoff

During the National Front tribute in the 600th anniversary of the birth of Joan of Arc, held after many years of absence in the square of the Paris Opera, Marine Le Pen has criticized  the electoral strategy of Nicolas Sarkozy.

“He has shamelessly courted the world’s elite, exploded immigration, destroyed millions of jobs, he has always defended the power of banks and money, and has given up sovereignty. A man like him cannot be the people’s president, “said Le Pen to nearly 5,000 fans.

Le Pen has ridiculed the attempt of the president (and to a lesser extent, of Francois Hollande) to seduce voters, she accused the left movement of “abandon without shame, the small and the excluded” and has ended up revealing that she will blank-vote in the second round.

Although she has asked her 6.5 million voters to choose “in conscience and according to their sensitivity,” she stated, “I would not let myself to be cheated by illusions.” (ARL)
