Mauricio Arteaga prepares for the 2012 Olympic Games in London

Yesterday, Ecuadorian marcher, Mauricio Arteaga achieved the second place in the trial of 20 kilometers march in the U.S. National Championship played in Oregon.
With this competition, Arteaga not only won the silver medal, but also provided him the passport to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.
Miriam Ramon, vice president of the Sports Federation of Azuay and coach Cuenca, made today the official announcement of Arteaga’s outstanding participation, who recorded a time of 1 hour, 21 minutes and 50 seconds behind the winner 1:21:57, Ariel Arevalo.
