Metros in Latin America welcome the Quito Metro

The start of operations of the Quito Metro is a fact. Starting this Friday, December 1, 2023, Quito residents have a new method of transportation.
The Quito Metro began operations this Friday, December 1, 2023.
The opening not only generated national news. Congratulations for the city and its inhabitants came from many parts of the world.
The unique thing about this fact was that the Latin American subways themselves were the ones who sent a message to the Quito Metro. Greetings and congratulations came from the official accounts of the different metro stations in the region.
For example, the Buenos Aires Metro, in Argentina, posted on its account a message welcoming Quito to the underground world. “From the oldest network in Latin America we salute the Quito Metro on its inauguration, we wish it much success and we offer it our unconditional support and vast experience on the journey that begins today.”
The Santiago de Chile Metro also issued a message. Through the popular Spiderman multiverse meme, he hinted that Quito joins this underground transportation.
The Medellín Metro, in Colombia, was another to rejoice at the opening of operations in Quito. From his official X account he posted a moving message that said “We connect the Medellín Metro with the heart of Ecuador. We are happy”.
