Mexican raw material for the plastics industry
The first container of raw material for the Ecuadorean plastic industry, distributed by the Nutec company, arrived in Guayaquil.
The company represents Braskem-Idesa of Mexico, which has started with a huge investment of 5,500 million dollars to produce 1,500,000 metric tons of polyethylene, “the most important raw material for the plastics industry in Ecuador,” the company said.
With this material, the domestic industry will be able to conduct tests, and the idea is that this is a cheaper alternative for the production of major plastic items: pipes, bottles, tanks, furniture, bags, etc.
Consul of Mexico, Henry Kronfle; Alfredo Hoyos, of the Ecuadorian Association of Plastics; Caterina Costa, Alternate President of the Chamber of Industries of Guayaquil, and other business leaders were present during the arrival of the shipment to Guayaquil.
