The Central Bank of Ecuador buys gold to 28 miners
The Central Bank of Ecuador (BCE for its Spanish acronym) negotiated $ 1’368.025,06 in the gold purchase to several mining companies, associations, companies and retailers, between late May and early July. According to the National Directorate of Reserve Management, up to this date, 32.1 kilograms of gold have been commercialized.
Since May 2016, 28 miners, among producers and marketers, registered in the BCE website; with whom a sustainable business relationship has flourished. According to the Central Bank, this project is applied to boost the growth and development of the mining activity in the country, which increases the monetary gold reserves, strengthening the position of the International Reserve, which will benefit Ecuador in future international operations.
