For the second time in his life, German racer Michael Schumacher announced his retirement from Formula 1 at the end of the season.
In his 21-year career as a racing pilot, Schumacher has won seven world titles and has broken all the records.
Throughout his life as a racer, Schumacher never managed to win the esteem of his rivals or his team colleagues, because of his extreme competitiveness, which often was considered unsporting.
“It is difficult to maintain motivation and energy”, said today Schumacher, 43, who announced his farewell at the Japanese circuit of Suzuka, just days after the revelation of Hamilton Lewis signing for the team.
