Military patrol at Isla Trinitaria

Around 800 military soldiers from the three branches of the Ecuadorian Armed Forces, performed a surprise operation, yesterday morning along the highway “Perimetral,  Isla Trinitaria and the inner roads of in Guayaquil.

During such patrols, conducted with tank and two helicopters several melee weapons and firearms were seized, and nine people were detained.

This initiative was carried out only due to the control and confiscation of weapons in support of the population to reduce the crime rate. (BG)
