Millions of Euro Project for the Return of Immigrants

The Ministry of Work and Immigration will give 5,2 millions of Euro to fund programs for the return of immigrants. The project includes funding for the unemployed and humanitarian plans developed by the Secretary of State for Immigration organized by different ONG groups.

The announcement was made during last week on the Official Gazette BOE. The article pointed out that the amount could increase another 2,1 million of Euro in case of a credit incorporation.

Financial entities and ONG groups can access these resources, as long as they keep developing projects for the return of immigrants until December 31 of 2011. There are two types of returns, the ones financed by the European Union and those funded on a national level regarding humanitarian cases of immigrants that need help to return to their countries. On such cases the immigrants commit themselves to not return to Spain for three years.
