Satellite air navigation arrives. Aircrafts will save time and fuel.
New air traffic routes are at the disposal of airlines and aircraft operating in the country. These airways will optimize flight times, save fuel and reduce emissions of polluting gases.
The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has implemented since last Tuesday the new routes based on satellite navigation. The organization explained that the airways are designed to be trafficked with the use of GPS, and will be complementary to conventional routes, which are based on radio frequency stations installed in airports.
