Posted On 26 Aug 2011
The dead bodies of over 200 people, including men, women and children were found in beds and hallways of hospital Abu Salim, which was abandoned by all his medical personnel for days due to the fighting in the south of Tripoli.
The cause of death of these people remains unknown, some neighborhood residents told the BBC, that some of the victims were killed by forces loyal to Colonel Muammar Gadhafi.
According to witnesses accounts collected by the BBC, some bodies have five days in the hospital and are in a state of decomposition, while several people died from the lack of medical care.
“We need help is very urgent. There is no government. We need professional help from the Red Cross because there was a slaughter in Abu Salim,” said one resident.
