More than 65,000 students entering the public education

This 2014-2015 school year, the coast cycle will have 275.800 new applicants to the public education system. Of them, 65.900 corresponds of transfers from the private network to the Prosecutor, reported yesterday the Minister of education, Augusto Espinosa, to reveal the results of the school registration process.

The previous school year (2013-2014) was recorded the income of 88,000 new students to the public education on the coast.

According to Espinosa, this is a sign of the absolute confidence in public education. “Education was commercialized, with a proliferation of private institutions that charged low pensions but that did not provide quality.”
