Moreno enjoys of high acceptance, according to four pollsters

The results of recent studies conducted by four pollsters agree that the percentage of approval of President Lenin Moreno remains high. On August 31, 2017, he will meet 100 days in power. The call for dialogue with all political forces has had a positive influence, according to Santiago Cuesta, director of CMS. The firm consulted 19,536 people in 24 provinces, from 1 to 6 August.

Besides the dialogue, the style of communication of the Head of State (non-confrontational) is well seen by those consulted. Cuesta emphasizes that public speeches do not feature more insults or disqualifications anymore. One of the questions included in the poll was about Moreno’s political rival. The CMS director says he was surprised that the majority response was: nobody. 79.14% of respondents believe that there is no political antagonist in sight. The rest answered that former president Rafael Correa is the main critic of Moreno´s administration. (I)
