Ecuadornews:
Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno held bilateral meetings with his Chilean counterpart Michelle Bachelet and Belgium counterpart Charles Michel, with whom he analyzed regional and trade integration processes with the EU.
The meetings took place in New York, within the framework of the UN General Assembly, and are part of an agenda that also includes an interview today with the Secretary-General of the Organization, António Guterres, with whom he plans to initiate an agreement on the fight against corruption.
According to a communiqué provided by the Presidency, in his meeting with Bachelet, they analyzed integration processes such as the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).
Later Moreno met with the Belgian prime minister, with whom he reviewed “the process of implementation of the trade agreement with the EU,” signed last November and in force since January, in addition to other aspects of the bilateral relationship. (I)
