Moreno ratifies his support to earthquake rescue

Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno spoke on Thursday night with his Mexican counterpart, Enrique Peña Nieto, who endorsed his country’s support in the rescue of victims of the powerful 7.1 M earthquake that occurred in that nation on Tuesday.

According to the National Secretariat of Communication, Moreno spoke on the telephone with Peña Nieto, on the occasion of the meeting previously held in New York by Ecuadorian Foreign Minister María Fernanda Espinosa and her Mexican counterpart, Luis Videgaray, in the framework of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

The Ecuadorean president confirmed in his Twitter network his conversation with Peña Nieto and reiterated the feeling of solidarity between Ecuador and Mexico. (I)
