Movistar Workers present their proposal to the Assembly
Representatives of Movistar workers went yesterday to the Assembly to deliver their proposal to the Commission of Autonomous and Decentralized Governments. This commission was appointed to debate the draft law that reduces telecommunications companies profits from 15% to 3%.
Juan Carlos Oleas, representative of Movistar workers, asked the commission for a meeting in the coming days to expose their case about the project.
“We want to share key information to help them make an informed decision. We are concerned because it directly impacts on workers, is a purely labor issue because it impacts clearly in this area,” said Oleas.
Ángel Vilema, Vice President of the Commission, pointed out that the next meeting will be held on Wednesday and representatives of the telecommunications companies workers will be received to debate.
