Mubarak is on life support

Yesterday the former Egyptian dictator Hosni Mubarak was declared clinically dead. Recent reports indicated that Mubarak is in a coma but on life support after being thought close to death.

Close to his third week in the Torah Prison, the 84-year-old leader suffered a stroke while serving a life sentence prison. After his stroke Mubarak was transported to a military hospital in Maadi, a suburb south of Cairo.

Mubarak’s wife, Suzanne accompanied him in the Nile-side hospital in Maadi along with a team of 15 doctors, including heart, blood and brain specialists who are supervising the condition of Mubarak, the former leader now needs assistance to breath. (AV)
