A reform exepmts live shows from taxes

Ecuador is already part of the route that make internationally renowned artists on their tours in South America. Justin Bieber, Shakira, Jonas Brothers, Metallica and now Paul McCartney confirmed this fact thanks to entrepreneurs dedicated to promote shows.

The organization of these types of shows has generated huge profits but also great challenges in negotiations, considering the commercial success of the artist, the cost, investment in the production and audit costs.

The Municipality of Quito has provided a draft ordinance regulating the holding of shows, which aims to facilitate the management between the promoter and the local government. An amendment to the Code of Territorial Organization, Autonomy and Decentralization has exempted from taxes the realization of live shows, which makes possible that Ecuador is on the agenda of world famous artists.
