The National Assembly approved the creation of credit data registry, which will replace the Banking Risks Office, with a majority of 100 votes in favor and 17 abstentions.
This amendment of the Repeal Act to the Law of Credit Information Bureaus and Amending on the National Public Data Records, cancels theBanking Risks Office, which was managed by the Superintendency of Banks.
In the new credit data registry, contain the history and complance of the financial, commercial, contractual, obligations, also the private insurance and social security, both for individuals and businesses. It also establishes that the only entity that collects, manages and delivers the information is the National Public Data Registry (DNRDP).
The text, which had a long list of changes, incorporates a new rule to regulate the collection of debts to people who are in arrears with the financial system.
