Nebot says Interagua’s proposal is guaranteed

The mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot, explaining yesterday details of the resolution taken by Emapag Tuesday.

The Mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot, said that the new agreement between Interagua and Emapag guarantees the investment of the company on works for the city. Nebot also affirmed that Interagua accepted the demands of the regulatory agency in the commitment phase; while the implementation phase was totally completed on Tuesday.

“Here is the money, the bank guarantees, the trust established, the Terms of Reference signed and the contract fully reformed. Is not that they will … They already did it yesterday (Tuesday),” he said.

Nebot acknowledged that when Interagua asked to extend the deadline, the request was accepted given that the company had not, at that time; meet all the demands required by the regulatory agency. The Mayor said he thinks that Interagua was quick to implement Emapag requests.
