Jaime Nebot, the current mayor of Guayaquil, in revealed that in October he’ll decide whether or not to run for the municipal elections, since it would be his fourth consecutive term. He also said that if he does run as a candidate there will be no cheating.
His remarks were made yesterday in Ecuavisa when the TV network asked him about it and what does he thinks of the elections for district councilors, and the method used by the Electoral Council.
“I agree with any method, because all of them need votes to win. What is important is that there is no cheating in these methods. If I’m running there’ll be no cheating because we will not let us,” the mayor stressed.
