On Monday, cocoa´s price closed at $ 3,072 and ended yesterday at $ 2,962 per ton at the New York market.
In previous weeks, the value of the ton had reached a price of $ 3,250 and there was talk of a possible supply deficit for the fourth consecutive year, since the oldest plantations in the Ivory Coast are being affected by plagues.
The intermediate Texas oil yesterday fell by 0.82%, reaching a price of $ 39.46 per barrel. During the week it had a cumulative decline of 4.1% for the first time in the last six weeks.
The barrel of reference for Ecuador was quoted yesterday below $ 39, but in the final stretch it recovered some lost ground after a decrease of the operational wells in the US.
