Imagen 1Fundamental issues as, strategic sectors, public procurement, geographic indicators and market access, will be treated in the meeting with the European Union today. The conversations were resumed after five years of suspension.

The measures that have generated problems for the traders to enter the country, would be the most important to analyze according to the expert Manuel Chiriboga.

Pedro Riaza, secretary of  Ceramic Tile and Flooring Manufactures, said that together with other European producers have put their formal complaint before the authorities of the European Union, which was to the World Trade Organization with the purpose that Ecuador dos not have obstacle to trade its products.

On the issue, the authorities insist that the Resolution 116, which states prior import controls and presentation of a certificate of recognition of the INEN, will not generate problems in negotiations.

While business associations in the country as the Ecuadorian Federation of Exporters (Fedexpor,) believe that the themes can be resolved successfully on the meetings to be held this week.
