Next to the Guayas River began the ‘Music Festival’

The French band ‘La Fanfare in Petard’

Yesterday, on the platform of the anthropological museum and contemporary art began the music festival named ‘Fete de la Music’ (the ‘Music Festival’ ), which was organized by the Alliance Française and the Ministry of culture, celebrating its 14th edition in Guayaquil.

Francisco Echeverría, Viuda negra, Angeles y demonios and Los Brigante, were some of the artists who went on stage to perform different musical genres. The show was closed by The French band ‘La Fanfare in Petard’.

“We chose all sorts of genres to give the festival an eclectic tone. In this case, Guayaquil is a city in which music is made in bars. The ‘Music Festival’ offers these bands a scenario in which they can show their music to all audiences,”said Danny Arteaga, organizer of the event for the Alliance Française.

This year, the event will be developed in several venues, some of them will be the German Ecuadorian Center, the Ecuadorian- North american center, Sanchez Aguilar theater and the Salesian Polytechnic University.

The closing of the event will be next Sunday at the Casal Català located in Mirtos and Ficus streets,  North of Guayaquil, at 12:30.
