No survivors in plane crash in Chile
Last Thursday the ambulance plane that crashed in the south of Chile was located by the Air Force of Chile (FACH). None of the eight passengers, two crew and six passengers, on board the twin-engine plane Beechcarft BE 300 survived.
“So far we see no survivors due to the nature of the impact,” said Gen. Carlos Bernstein, who estimated that the aircraft impacted the ground at a speed of 450 km per hour.” The crash site indicates that the ship was totally destroyed, and is in a dense forest location, difficult to access by land,” so the recovery of the remains must be by air, he said.
The recovery of bodies depend on the climate of the area, where rain and winds are common, once rescued they will be transferred to Santiago for recognition in the Legal Medical Service, said the General.
