Non-oil purchases fell by 15% between March and May

Safeguards meet three months in force and have achieved their objective: to reduce imports.
The National Customs Service of Ecuador (SENAE) reports that foreign purchases decreased by 15.2% between March and May.
The country received $ 1,654.5 million in non-oil imported goods, which is $ 296.8 million less compared to the same period of 2014, when $ 1,951.3 million entered.
