Obsolete grenade was left in Dalo Bucaram´s car

At 20:00 this May 6 Dalo Bucaram Pulley has planned a Facebook Live. However, since about 4:20 it was already news.
The alleged placement of a grenade under his car caused the GIR to move to the vicinity of the Hilton Colon Towers. The point to be reviewed was the outskirts of Tower 1. The verification was positive
Marcelo Tobar, General Commander of Zone 8 of the Police, explained that the artifact found was a lemon-type grenade with an explosion diameter of 2 meters, however, its status was obsolete.
Due to that characteristic it was not possible for it to explode.
Those who live in that building received the request of members of the National Police not to leave while the inspection was being carried out.

From Twitter both agreed to point out Rafael Correa, former president as well, and his followers as responsible for the possible attack.
According to Abdalá, the grenade was in one of the tires of the vehicle. While they received the alert, Dalo, who was a presidential candidate in 2017, would have been with his children.
Pieces were missing
Second Lieutenant Alex Mosquera, of the GIR explosives unit, explained that the grenade was missing the security ring and a musket. The device was found in one of the rear wheels of the car.
According to the uniformed officer, these missing pieces were probably removed before placing the explosive on the site. Mosquera added that these elements make that the ammunition cant explode.
However, he confirmed that the surveillance cameras of the establishment, as well as those of the eagle eye of the area, will be requested to verify who placed the bomb. (I)
