Oscar Pistorius was granted bail

The famous South African Paralympics athlete Oscar Pistorius can pay his bail and remain free while facing trial for fatally shooting his girlfriend, model, Reeva Steenkamp on Valentine’s Day.

After several days of hearings, the magistrate Desmond Nair, Pretoria (South Africa) decided on Friday to grant bail to the amputee athlete. Nair upheld the motion of Pistorius attorney, who had requested the release of his client despite opposition from the prosecution.

Pistorius will have to pay a bail of $ 113,000 to remain free.
