Over Half Ecuadorian Migrants in Spain Want to Leave the Country
The Ecuadorian group in the community of Madrid, is the one that shows more interest in returning to their country of origin. This is some of the data provided by the Regional Immigration Survey that the Minister of Social Affairs, Salvador Victoria, presented today.
The analysis is based on 2,992 interviews conducted between December 2011 and January 2012. The sample includes 445 Ecuadorians, between the ages of 16 and 64.
Today over half of compatriots expressed their intention to return or continue their migration project in another country, mainly from Europe such as Germany, England, and France.
It should be noted that the majority of Ecuadorians in Spain rent, live in an apartment or live with a relative or friend, and only 13% own their own homes. (ARL)
