Pablo de la Vega: “There are no conditions for establishing a dialogue by the climate of verbal violence”
In an interview with Ecuavisa, the regional coordinator of the Inter-American Platform for Human Rights and Development, Pablo de la Vega, said that four human rights organizations have expressed concern about the climate of confrontation, because in their opinion, the appropiate conditions to establish a dialogue with the highest government authorities do not exist.”
According to De la Vega, this climate of violence is being exacerbated by a verbal violence that feeds the physical violence and has unfortunately been the protagonist at national level.
The four organizations in mention are: the Ecuadorian Front of Human Rights, the Permanent Committee for the Defense of Human Rights, the Documentation Center of Human Rights “Segundo Montes Mozo SJ” and the Inter-American Platform for Human Rights, Democracy and Development.
