Palora makes its way to the export of pitahaya with government support
In an interview with the media of the Amazon region , President Lenín Moreno detailed on Thursday, January 30, 2020 the actions of the National Government in Morona Santiago and the Amazon , such as the implementation of the Brigades A Lifetime.

In addition to nine community schools are about to reopen, 1,200 people have benefited from the Casa para Todos program and 10,000 children have comprehensive child development services.
In the area of infrastructure, $ 63 million was allocated to guarantee the supply of electricity ; while $ 113 million for the construction and maintenance of roads, such as the adaptation of the Macas – Sucúa highway , benefiting 203,000 inhabitants.
The Minister of Transportation and Public Works, Gabriel Martínez , said work is being done to enable the Gualaceo-Limón highway and technical studies are carried out to determine the amount of investment in the Sígsig-Gualaquiza .
Palora , land of the pitahaya, is opening international markets with this product. The President reaffirmed his commitment to boost farmers in this sector with credits , advice and technology and generate the conditions that allow this fruit to reach other markets.
Foreign Trade Minister Iván Ontaneda added that a technical table has been set up between the private and public sectors to review the actions implemented in the promotion of this fruit and its commercial diversification.
Moreno stressed that the Whole Life brigades have made 250 visits to parishes and 250,000 attentions in cedulation, medicine, dentistry and others.
