Founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange

Ecuadorian Foreign Minister Ricardo Patiño, again requested safety pass for the founder of Wikileaks, Julian Assange, during the United Nations General Assembly held in New York last September 26.

The British government continues to deny the safety pass to Assange, who has a pending extradition to Sweden to answer an indictment for alleged rape of two women in that country.

Patiño has not accompished a real commitment on behalf of the UK to achieve a solution to the case and finally bring Assange to Ecuador. (MZ)
