Patricia Ochoa: “I do not believe in the Ecuadorian justice”
Patricia Ochoa, widow of General Jorge Gabela, former commander of the Ecuadorian Air Force (FAE)., who died as a result of a not yet clarified criminal attack in 2010, said today (Friday) she does not believe in the Ecuadorian justice. And she has her reasons, one of which is the constant denial of justice, both in the original investigation as in the interinstitutional committee appointed by the President, specifically to clarify the fact.
Ochoa thinks that the committee lacks credibility and question the report submitted by the Minister of Justice on February 3, 2015, because in that document the death of her husband is attributed to common crime, and contract killers and theft of information are discarded as causals.
In contrast, the report of international experts says that common crime was ruled out and the crime is rather related to the work done by General Jorge Gabela Bueno.
“The interinstitutional report is mentioned that the person who shot my husband is left-handed and is known as ‘Francis,’ but in the first judicial instance he was never arrested, they arrested him and then released him, and throughout the judicial process until he came to cassation, any page of that process mentions that ‘Francis,’ the executor of the shot.”
