Sir Paul McCarteny engaged Nancy Shevell, People magazine reported Friday. “Nancy and Paul are getting married,” a source told the magazine. “Ring and all — very exciting.” The marriage would be the third for the Beatles legend.

The 68-year-old British musician began dating the New York businesswoman in November 2007. He proposed to her last weekend “during a romantic candlelit dinner for two,” an insider told Us Weekly.

Shevell, 51, has a teenage son from her 23-year marriage to her first husband, New York lawyer Bruce Blakeman. The pair split in 2007.
