Petroecuador seeks to stock up on light crude
The representative of the public company Petroecuador, Carlos Pareja Yannuzzelli, is meeting today and tomorrow with companies interested in supplying light oil (28 degrees API and low sulfur content). The appointment is at the Westin Galleria in Houston, US. The call will be attended by representatives of about thirty companies and international traders.
“Petroecuador seeks business opportunities and to improve corporate loans to benefit the country. To do this he will take advantage of low prices in the international oil market, to acquire light crude that serves to boost the performance of the Esmeraldas refinery and thereby improve the production capacity of derivatives for domestic consumption,” stated the company in a bulletin.
For Carlos Pareja, manager of Petroecuador, this may signify a good business opportunity. At the meeting -the functionary indicated- companies like Talavera Petroleum, Tesoro Refining, Repsol, Mitsubishi and NobleAmericas and Gunvor will participate.
