29 farmers of Santa Teresita de Pillaro have specialized in fruit crops and this is certified by the diploma they received.

Now the product that farmers produce has entered the market and has its own label. Producers were trained for a hundred hours in production, value added and marketing of fruits.

The project is promoted by the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (Magap) and the Fruit Production Program of the National Institute of Agricultural Research (INIAP).

“The purpose was to provide farmers technical knowledge and add this to traditional skills to improve production, crop management and entrepreneurship with added value,” said Fabian Valencia, director of the Magap.
