This Friday, September 14, Pope Benedict XVI will make a calling regarding the civil conflicts, especially in Syria.
“The spiral of violence (in Syria) and hatred, which are pointless, and to stop financing and arming both the regime and the opposition,” stated the pontiff.
The Pope Benedict XVI would remain three days in Lebanon, time in which he will sign the Apostolic Exhortation of the Special Assembly for the Middle East of the Synod of Bishops.
The Maronite Patriarch, Bishop Bechara Rai pointed out that “the peace won’t be achieved if the governments don’t allow freedom,” his comment to remember that in that region of the world, Muslims and Christians have a common destiny. AV
