Pope Francis: “Among Christians there are many careerists”
During a mass which was held today in the chapel of the residence of Santa Marta, where the employees of the Newsroom convened, as spokesman Federico Lombardi, and the Deputy Director, Ciro Benedettini, Pope Francis denounced that there are many careerists in the christian community, people who have no faith, as well as thieves and bandits who used religion as a business.
The Supreme Pontiff said that for those who really want to enter into the Kingdom of heaven, Jesus is the door, and they should be humble, poor, fair, and follow the Beatitudes.
“But some will say, father, you are a fundamentalist! No, Jesus said this it: I am the gate, I am the way that gives life. Just that”, said the Pope, who emphasized that Jesus always speaks the truth.
Francis said that human beings are often tempted to be their own masters and not be humble children and servants of the Lord, and therefore trying to enter through other doors.
“Do not seek other doors that seem easier, comfortable to the hand. Always call at Jesus door. He never disappoints, never deceives. Jesus is not a thief, is not a Bandit. He has given his live for us and each of us must ask him to please open the door, to let us enter,”he said.
