President considers the Conaie as a pillar for the new Ecuador

President Lenin Moreno met yesterday with leaders of the Confederation of Indigenous Nationalities of Ecuador (Conaie), who informed them of the progress of the requests made to him on July 4, during the first meeting with this organization. Moreno said that the Conaie is a cornerstone for the construction of the new Ecuador, “without different sides, with unity and never with revenge.”
Moreno emphasized that through agreements and dialogue, problems will be solved with the organization. “Dialogue allows us to work on issues such as the education of our children, rural community transport, productivity, health, tourism and others topics.”
He also stressed that the Conaie could be a key element of the ‘Toda una vida’ plan, as the organization would be a strategic ally because of its closeness and relationship with the communities. He affirmed that the government aims to continue collaborating with the construction of a plurinational country. (I)
