The changes in the government of the President of the Republic, Lenin Moreno, of this Wednesday December 5 reached the military leadership.
Through Decree 607, Major General Roque Moreira Cedeño was appointed as chief of the Joint Command of the Armed Forces, replacing Air General César Merizalde Pavón.
Moreira served as commander of the Army, so the president, through Decree 608, ordered that his place should be occupied by Division General Javier Pérez Rodríguez.
Meanwhile,with the decrees 609 and 610 appointed Brigadier General Mauricio Campuzano Núñez and Rear Admiral Darwin Jarrín Cisneros as commanders of the Air Force and the Naval Force, respectively.
They replace Brigadier-General Patricio Mora Escobar and Rear Admiral Carlos Ruiz Cornejo. (I)
