President of the Ecuarunari talks about the indigenous march of today

The Ecuarunari president, Carlos Perez Guartambel, one of the leaders of the indigenous march that protests today in Quito against the government of Rafael Correa, in an interview with Ecuavisa, questioned the fact that the government wants to call now for a dialogue “with someone, like any vulgar, who sits in office, wears the presidential sash that says: ‘My power in the Constitution,’ and the first thing he does is violating the Constitution, insulting people.”
“For us there is no longer President Correa,” said Perez.
According to the indigenous leader, there must be an audit of thegovernment spending because of the 15 000 million that are collected in taxes, 14 000 million go to bureaucratic costs, for those who go to the streets to defend the autocrat with green flags.
Perez said that despite many obstacles they finally arrived in Quito, after traveling more than 800 kilometers.
He also highlighted the fraternal and warm welcome of the people of Quito, that some confuse saying they are dangerous and violent. For Perez, the Government has three scenarios left: that the President submits his resignation if he has a little dignity; that he accepts the removal from office; or he ends his mandate, we will not overthrow him, “he is already fallen.”
“If he (Correa) has saved from the political issues, in economic issues nothing and no one is going to save him,” he said.
