Yesterday, political leaders and social organizations protested against the policies of the government of Rafael Correa, from the 9 de Octubre to Plaza del Centenario, where the march began near 17:00.

A group made it through the Malecon Simon Bolivar and then the 9 de Octubre Avenue (east-west). Former presidential candidate Alvaro Noboa, along with his supporters, gathered outside the Banco del Litoral, from there they walked to Centenario Park.

Meanwhile, the political leader of the CREO movement (Creating Opportunities), Guillermo Lasso, walked with his supporters across the 5 de Junio bridge, at the height of the Estero Salado, to star a separate protest.

The mayor of Guayaquil, Jaime Nebot, along with several members of the Madera de Guerrero party walked for several blocks along the 9 de Octubre avenue. Moments earlier he had walked out on the balcony of the Municipality of Guayaquil to listen to hundreds of protesters calling for his pronouncement.

Members of the Ecuadorian Medical Federation came to protest against the repeal of Decree 703, by which the Agency for Quality Assurance Health was created.

The surroundings of the Governor´s office (Malecon Simon Bolivar and Aguirre st.) served for supporters of the ruling party Alianza Pais to concentrate and support the Government with artistic presentations.
