Protection Action was Approved to Prevent Installation of LFC Bust
Yesterday, Manuel Prieto, eighth temporary judge in Criminal Guarantees, approved the Protection Action submitted by the group Diabluma, to prevent the installation of the bust of the former Ecuadorian President Leon Febres-Cordero in Las Peñas.
After the hearing, Governor Robert Cuero gave a press conference where he referred to the absence of delegates from the City Council.
“Today it was shown their cowardice, because if they have legal grounds to hold what they had proposed they must attend the hearing. They are cowards; they knew that our people had not come. “
Assembly Andres Roche and Cynthia Viteri (Madera de Guerrero Party), along with a group of supporters, entered the first floor of the Government to speak to Cuero, but were unsuccessful. Roche waited for Cuero about an hour at the Plaza de la Integracion.
“He (Cuero) called me, so I went up and he hide in the loft of the Interior,” he said, adding that the mayor, Jaime Nebot, will appeal the ruling.
